The Laughing Place is a 3 Bedroom 2 Bath mountaintop retreat located in Cashiers, NC. It is located 8 – 10 minutes from downtown Cashiers, NC. The Laughing Place is on the way and just 3 miles down the road from Panthertown Valley – a great place to hike or bike and also called the Yosemite of the East.
The elevation of the Laughing Place is about 4300 ft.
Check out the beautiful panoramic mountain view from the cozy back deck.
Vintage rooms are comfortable and cozy.
Gravel and dirt drive through a Christmas tree farm lead you to the top of Dry Land Laurel.
The House built on a Rock
The house is literally built on a rock.

The Laughing Place: The Name
The Laughing Place is so named as it is a reminder to all to get away, rest, relax, and refresh yourself – a spiritual retreat to rejuvenate. It is derived from Proverbs 31:25b – . . . she laughs without fear of the future.
The desire is for each person to have fun here and for this to be their Happy Place (or Laughing Place).
The name is also a reminder of the old children’s books where Br’er Rabbit experienced joy and a few chuckles with his friends.
